The Loom Creative Studio was born from founder Gina O’Hara’s growing awareness of the vital role friendships, creativity, and community play in women’s lives - especially as they age. After attending Lucky Star Art Camp and connecting with a circle of inspiring women and artists, Gina began to imagine a space on her land where that same spirit of connection and creativity could thrive year-round.
That vision became reality.
Nestled in Western Bastrop County, The Loom is a 750-square-foot studio that comfortably hosts up to 25 guests. It’s a gathering place for artists, makers, and curious souls to come together for creative exploration, meaningful connection, and shared experiences.
Artists are encouraged to offer classes to their communities, and while a teacher is welcome and encouraged to charge for classes; there is no charge for the teacher to use the space. It’s simply Gina’s way of nurturing the artist community and weaving together like-minded women through art, play, and new friendships.
